There are two separate zip files available for free download.

♦ 'AztecEngine.zip' contains the Aztec Engine software, Version 1.0 Alpha 2, and associated O/S level libraries.

♦ The Aztec Engine is a Win32 application (Windows XP, Vista and 7) which contains the Aztec Compiler, Aztec Virtual Machine, Aztec UI Display Server and the entire Aztec Class Framework. It consists of a single Windows executable file named 'Aztec.exe' with a size of 1,110 KB.

♦ Two sets of Microsoft redistributable libraries are also contained within the zip file, and they are automatically extracted into the proper location relative to the Aztec Engine executable.

♦ No special setup or installation is required once the files are extracted from the zip file.

♦ The zip file size is 2.01 MB.

♦ 'AztecSample.zip' contains sample programs written in the Aztec Programming Language.

♦ Each file contains a header with a description of the sample Aztec source code.

♦ The zip file size is 34 KB.

You can only download and use the Aztec software if you read and agree to the terms and conditions described in the license agreement below.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Definitions.
“This License” refers to version 1.2 of the Aztec Programming Language License Agreement.

“The Program” or “Aztec Engine” refers to the Aztec Engine object code which is available to the general public for free from the Cold Spring Development Group website (http://www.ColdSpringDevelopmentGroup.com). The C++ source code for the Aztec Engine is proprietary information and is not publicly available.

Each licensee is addressed as “you”. “Licensees” may be individuals or organizations.

To “convey” a work means any kind of propagation that enables other parties to receive copies.

"Aztec Sample Source Code" refers to source code written in the Aztec Programming Language and is used to demonstrate how to write Aztec programs.

2. Limitations on Use.
All rights granted under this License are granted for the term of copyright on the Program, and are irrevocable provided the stated conditions are met. Cold Spring Development Group grants you a nonexclusive and nontransferable  license to use and copy the Aztec Engine object code (Aztec.exe), provided that no portion of the object code is modified, reverse compiled or reverse assembled. This License acknowledges your rights of fair use or other equivalent, as provided by copyright law.

You may freely convey The Program to others provided that you do not charge a fee.

You may make copies of any portion of the Aztec documentation contained in the Cold Spring Development Group website provided that the wording and content of the documentation is not modified and that the Cold Spring Development Group copyright notice is contained on all copies, with one exception described below regarding sample source code.

You may freely use, copy and modify any part of the Aztec Sample Source Code which is displayed on individual content pages within the Cold Spring Development Group website.

You may freely use, copy and modify any part of the Aztec Sample Source Code which is provided for download on the Cold Spring Development Group website.

3. Acceptance Required for Each New Machine.
This License will be displayed to the user the first time this version of the Aztec Engine software is executed on a specific machine. The user must agree to the terms and conditions of this license in order to proceed with execution of The Program. This license will only be displayed one time for each user on a specific machine.

4. Termination.
You may not convey this work to others except as expressly provided under this License. Any attempt otherwise or any attempt to modify, reverse compile or reverse assemble the Aztec Engine object code will automatically terminate your rights under this License.

5. Revised Versions of this License.
Cold Spring Development Group may publish revised versions of the Aztec Programming Language License Agreement from time to time. Each new version will be similar in spirit to the present version, but may differ slightly to address new legal concerns.

Each version of this license is given a unique version number. Each version of the Aztec Engine software will specify that a certain numbered version of the Aztec Programming Language License applies to it. You have the option of following the terms and conditions of that numbered version or of any later version published by Cold Spring Development Group.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty.
THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THIS SOFTWARE PROGRAM, SAMPLE CODE OR DOCUMENTATION, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. COLD SPRING DEVELOPMENT GROUP PROVIDES THE AZTEC ENGINE PROGRAM, SAMPLE CODE AND ALL DOCUMENTATION “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE RISK OF THE QUALITY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROGRAM AND DOCUMENTATION. IF THE PROGRAM, SAMPLE CODE OR DOCUMENTATION IS DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.

7. Limitation of Liability.
IN NO EVENT, UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WILL COLD SPRING DEVELOPMENT GROUP BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PROGRAM, EVEN IF SUCH HOLDER OR OTHER PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED INACCURATE OR LOSSES SUSTAINED BY YOU OR THIRD PARTIES.

8. Interpretation of Sections 6 and 7.
If the disclaimer of warranty and limitation of liability provided above cannot be given local legal effect according to their terms, reviewing courts shall apply local law that most closely approximates an absolute waiver of all civil liability in connection with the Aztec Engine software, sample code and documentation.
